Serving
Mission & Outreach
“Go in peace. Serve the Lord.” Our weekly worship propels us in mission and service to the world. In a multitude of ways, both local and global, we seek to live out what we confess: God’s love is for all!
Habitat for Humanity
CTS is proud to be an Apostles Build partner with Flatirons Habitat in building a four-family housing unit at Coal Creek in Lafayette. Construction began in February 2011, and CTS members may sign up to volunteer labor, funds, material, and even lunch for workers! See our website for more information.
Sister Carmen Center
This Lafayette non-profit agency operates a food pantry and provides a whole host of social services to members of the community. CTS is honored to provide regular volunteers, food, financial support, and other donations to this incredible service partner.
The Boulder Homeless Shelter
Christ the Servant members take regular opportunities to cook at Friday meals at the shelter, which serves thousands each year with compassion and quality care.
ELCA World Hunger
We join with people of faith throughout the world to support a comprehensive program of relief, development, education, and advocacy, connecting people to the resources they need to lift themselves out of poverty. The international work of ELCA World Hunger is carried out through ELCA companion relationships as well as through trusted partners like Lutheran World Relief (LWR) and the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Special offerings to ELCA World Hunger, and education at CTS about the fund are a regular part of our congregation’s mission.
