Ways to Give
We are truly blessed that members and friends support the church financially. This happens in multiple ways, allowing Christ the Servant to take care of day-to-day ministry operations, support missions local and global, and plan for long-term stability and mission.
1 – Regular Offerings
CTS depends on members to give generously in support of daily operations. Weekly (or monthly, or for some annually) offerings support staff, building mortgage, utilities and insurance, and program expenses basic to the church’s life and mission. A tithe (10%) of regular offerings goes each month to the Rocky Mountain Synod of the ELCA. Many members find it convenient to give electronically – one simple and secure way to do that is Simply Giving.
2 – Special Gifts
These are one-time gifts for special appeals and designated gifts for particular needs beyond the operations budget. They include such items as camp scholarships, solar panels installed last year, and a playground planned for 2011. They may also be Memorial Gifts designated for a particular purpose. Along with regular offerings, Special Gifts may be given through Simply Giving.
3 – Legacy Gifts
These are planned gifts, generally for the Mission Endowment Fund, which seeks to provide long-term financial stability and a base of funding for mission beyond the operations budget of the church. Click here for more information about the Mission Endowment Fund.
4 – Thrivent Choice Program
Do you know that there is an easy, convenient way to support Christ the Servant? It’s called the Thrivent Choice Program. By participating in the Choice Dollars component of this program, eligible benefit members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans can recommend where Thrivent Financial will distribute a portion of its charitable grant funds, including to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church.
