It’s Mardi Gras time!
You are invited to an evening of New Orleans cuisine, live music by the band Blue Krewe, and a silent auction all benefiting the HS youth’s trip to the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer. It has been several years since Katrina hit the New Orleans area, but it will take years to rebuild the city. Our youth, along with thousands of other youth, will help New Orleans become who they once were. So, mark your calendars for Friday, February 24th, 6:30 to 10:00pm for an evening of FUN for the whole family. Tickets are on sale NOW through February 17th in the Narthex. Pricing is $25/adult, $10/child, or $50/family. Tickets will also be available through the church office during the week.

This picture was taken in front of the Ronald McDonald House in Aurora. 15 middle school & high school youth cooked the evening meal for residents of the Ronald McDonald House on 11/6/11.
Many residents expressed their gratitude for the great home-made meal. We served about 45 adults and children. The youth also decorated place mats with drawings and encouraging words.
(The Ronald McDonald House provides a temporary home for the families of seriously ill or injured children who are hospitalized or receiving treatment.)
